Ward Blatch received his Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Saint Mary’s University in 1982. Upon graduation, Ward began a career with the Royal Bank of Canada. After several years, he transitioned to public accounting with Lyle Tilley Davidson Chartered Accountants, a Nova Scotia regional accounting firm, receiving his Chartered Accountant designation in 1988.

 

Ward was the managing partner for Lyle Tilley Davidson’s Dartmouth office and the IT partner for all the offices. After 20 years, Ward retired from Lyle Tilley Davidson and started his own IT and consulting practice. His practice concentrates on the issues of small accounting firms and professional businesses, providing training, support, and network evaluations. His practice also provides tax and accounting services to small business and not-for-profit organizations.

 

In addition to his practice, Ward provides consulting and training services as an associate with K2E Canada. Since joining K2E Canada in 2005 Ward has provided consulting and training services throughout the United States and Canada. K2E Canada training includes in-house training as well as professional development courses for the CPA associations. The professional development courses presented by Ward include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, technology updates, internal controls, paperless office, mobile office, and cloud computing.

 

Currently Ward lives in rural Nova Scotia with his wife Elizabeth and their twin daughters. The family enjoys exploring the outdoors by foot and canoe.
